Job Vacancy - Sales Specialist for Local Authorities

Kingdom are looking for a Sales Specialist for Local Authorities to be based nationally at £30,000 - 35,000. The main role of this position will be the identification, generation and sales conversion in order to meet sales and margin targets through sustainable profit and to actively manage the sales process from identification to order.

Essential skills for this role include a minimum 3 years’ proven experience in a similar role and industry with a high quality service provider as well as being a constant, confident and effective target achiever and closer of low and high value new business contract. You will need to be up to date with the latest trends and best practices, a quality presenter (to support bids), have commercial astuteness, excellent excel/IT skills/CRM systems, communicate and negotiate effectively and professionally at all levels whilst being polite, helpful and diligent, with a ‘can do’ attitude, strong engagement skills, be operational, technical and have an innovative mind to provide real customer solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include, and will not be limited to; sales process compliance (Sales – How we do business), have a tenacious and innovative approach to the creation of self-generated leads and appointments and maximising existing current customer opportunities, write, prepare and support quality quotations/tender submissions and support site consultations as appropriate, close business and achieve or exceed sales target through sustainable profit, working closely with the operations team to retain good business and expand through cross selling and keep abreast of industry and competitor intelligence.

You will be required to have knowledge of brand and business protection; Knowledge, regulation, implementation and compliance of Kingdom management systems for:
    • QHSE & Employment Law
    • Other appropriate manuals, policies, processes and procedures and business strategy

Your general responsibilities will also include good administration, communication policy compliance and Regular performance progress reporting against your job description.

You will have to be a self-starter, able to hit the ground running, have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, a stickler for the details and be a team player as well as working independently with a focus on sharing good practise.
