Kingdom expands contract in Anglesey with park enforcement role

DSC01436Kingdom is very pleased to have started providing parking enforcement on the Isle of Anglesey.
Kingdom is now tackling illegal parking on the island as well as continuing with the 12-month trial that we have been providing to Anglesey Council since March 2017 to tackle littering and dog fouling.
Kingdom has been issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) of £75 to anyone caught dropping litter or not cleaning up after their dog on Anglesey. In addition to this, Kingdom officers will also tackle problem parking.
The new contract has only just started, but has so far been incredibly successful. During the first seven days of the contract, Kingdom’s officers have issued 155 Parking Charge Notices (PCNs).
The move has been welcomed by Cllr Peter Rogers, who said: “Quite simply, something has to be done to sort out the parking problems.
“No-one likes to be fined of course, but usually if you’re caught once you don’t do it again.
“These new Kingdom officers are clearly visible and should help deal with the worst of the problems that we get complaints about.”
A spokesperson for the Isle of Anglesey County Council said: “The Isle of Anglesey’s County Council’s Executive committee agreed on the 20th March 2017 that Kingdom Security Limited (who currently enforce littering and dog fouling on behalf of the council) will also work in conjunction with the Authority’s own officers in the enforcement of parking restrictions for a trial period of 12 months, starting on the 4th of December.
“Anyone wishing to challenge or appeal a parking penalty may do so in writing and further details regarding the fine will be provided on the back of the issued notice.”
Kingdom will be tackling litter and dog fouling in every county in North Wales from the 8th January 2018 once we start providing environmental protection services to Gwynedd Council. Kingdom also provides parking enforcement services to Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham councils in addition to the Environmental Protection services it provides there, tackling litter and dog fouling. We are looking forward to expanding more contracts where we tackle litter and dog fouling by also tackling parking issues in the New Year.
Kingdom has a proven record of delivering a cleaner, safer and greener environment for members of your community. Last year, over £1 billion was spent cleaning the UK streets. To help reduce this cost to the taxpayer, Kingdom’s Environmental Protection Division deploys fully trained uniformed officers into identified ‘problem areas’ in order to deal with littering, dog fouling and other environmental enforcement issues. We operate a range of payment schemes all guaranteeing no cost to the local authority. Instead, our costs are recovered by the Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) we issue which have resulted in us raising over £3.3m for local authorities during the last 12 months.
