Kingdom welcomes new Strategic Sales Director

Kingdom is delighted to announce the appointment of Eddie Hirst, who has recently joined the company as their new Strategic Sales Director.

Eddie joins Kingdom’s leadership team with 17 years experience of working within the security, facilities management and outsourcing industries. He has proven leadership and commercial skills, has been consistently successful in his career and has had strong results in business development, project work, operational management, new technologies and outsourced services.

As Strategic Sales Director, Eddie will be responsible for managing Kingdom’s sales team and their budgets, and will be responsible for the full sales process, from identification through to the order.

He is a seasoned people manager, and will lead the sales and marketing team to achieve their personal targets by mentoring, motivating and inspiring them to be competent, compliant, confident and empowered brand ambassadors who can sell as effectively as possible. He will be responsible for their welfare, performance and personal development to enhance their skill set.

Eddie will also make key strategic sales decisions with the overall aim of growing Kingdom nationally through sustainable profit. As part of this, Eddie will craft a national sales growth strategy across all of Kingdom’s service streams in order to retain existing work, win new work and maximise existing customer opportunities by introducing other Kingdom service lines.

Key to Eddie’s role will be to understand Kingdom’s business, customers, processes and current service delivery. He will therefore be working closely with Kingdom’s clients in order to understand their business, their vision and what service excellence looks like to them. He will then turn that into an innovative, sustainable business model and will work with clients and the entire Kingdom team to turn that vision into reality for them.

Speaking about his new role, Eddie said: “I am constantly looking for ways to do things better for our customers.  I take ownership of the customer’s requirements and promote and deliver innovation, value added service and excellence at all times. 

“Integrity, honesty, loyalty and commitment are all very important areas of focus for me. As a leader, I pride myself on being approachable, and always promote excellence and development. I like to work within a team and roll my sleeves up and lead from the front where appropriate, whilst at the same time encouraging my team to develop their skills.”

Outside of work, Eddie is a proud husband and father of two young daughters. Between 2008 and 2011 he successfully completed a Master’s degree, gaining an MSc (Distinction) in Security Risk Management at the same time as juggling a very busy career in the security industry and having a young family.

In addition to spending time with his family, in his spare time Eddie is a keen triathlete and recently represented Great Britain as an Age Grouper at the World Championships in Mexico. He is also an Ambassador for a not-for-profit organisation which helps to support people with cancer.
