Kingdom helps client to raise funds for charity

clip_image002Once again Kingdom has been pleased to support a client’s charity golf day by submitting a team of four to take part as well as sponsoring a hole at the event.

Kingdom’s Peter Cullen took part in this year’s Old Mutual Wealth FM Charity Golf Day on 21st June 2016, along with Sarah Cullen, and Pete Smith and Nick Chapman from Virgin Active. This is an annual event which Kingdom has been pleased to support previously. The event took place at Paultons Golf Centre at Ower Near Romsey in Hampshire.

Kingdom provides security guarding services and reception and concierge services to two of Old Mutual Wealth’s premises in Southampton – Old Mutual Point and Old Mutual House. Old Mutual Wealth is the leading wealth management business in the UK and internationally, helping to create prosperity for the generations of today and tomorrow. They oversee £104.4 billion in customer investments, and are part of Old Mutual plc, a FTSE 100 group that provides life assurance, asset management, banking and general insurance.

The event was held to raise money for SANDS, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. SANDS operate throughout the UK, supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth. They work to improve the care bereaved parents receive, offer emotional support and information for parents, grandparents, siblings, children, families, friends, health professionals and others, and promote research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives. The golf day was very successful, with £1,625 raised for the charity. Kingdom’s team came fourth overall out of the 19 teams that took part, and came first and second in the individual competition, with Nick Chapman winning with 42 points, and Peter Cullen coming second with 41 points. Amazingly the sun shone all day!
