Morgan Sindall Group plc is a leading UK construction and regeneration group which operates in both the public and commercial sectors. They have five divisions - construction and infrastructure, fit out, affordable housing, urban regeneration and investments.
Kingdom will be providing ongoing manned guarding services for Woodside Primary School in South Lanarkshire. This will be the 13th Morgan Sindall site that Kingdom will be providing services for. As well as manned guarding we also provide cleaning services for some of Morgan Sindall’s sites.
The construction of Woodside Primary School was announced in November 2012 as part of the construction of six new state of the art primary schools in South Lanarkshire. This firm has previously constructed 13 schools as part of the first tranche of school building in the area. The second tranche is now underway, and consists of Carstairs Village Primary School, Carstairs Junction Primary School, Woodside Primary School, Newton Primary School, Machanhill Primary School and Forth Primary School.
Morgan Sindall is working with Kier and Lend Lease to build 30 primary schools over a four year period, which is expected to cost £150 million. South Lanarkshire Council is aiming to rebuild all of the area’s primary schools by 2016 as part of their Schools Modernisation Programme which is expected to cost £812 million.
