Job Vacancy - Bid Manager


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Bid Manager to join Kingdom Services Group working at our Head Office in Newton-Le-Willows, Merseyside.

Job Purpose / Primary Objective: 

  • Administer and coordinate the bid process.
  • Reports to Sales Team Manager.
Position / Skills based requirements

Mandatory & Evidence Based:
  • Proven bid management experience 2 years minimum+ across a multitude of business sectors
  • Organised, logical approach and great time management with the ability to work under pressure but work calmly and efficiently and co-ordinate workload to adapt to tight time frames
  • Communicate effectively and professionally at all levels – being polite, helpful and diligent, with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong IT skills
  • Secondary:
  • Worked in the same or similar sector
  • Team Player: Be a team player as well as working independently
Key Responsibilities: (list not exhaustive):

How to achieve success:
  • Document, content control and development of the business tender library
  • Reviewing tender notices and appropriate bid selection
  • Completing qualifying questionnaires, registrations and PQQs
  • Overseeing the bid/no bid process
  • Coordinate the bid process A to Z (time line and task admin)
  • Appropriate liaison, support and motivation of bid stakeholders
  • Working closely with the bid writers and providing management, input and support to achieve conversion rates
  • Bid database housekeeping including success/failure rates so that future bids can be improved.
Brand Protection -
  • Knowledge, regulation, implementation and compliance of Kingdom management systems for:
    • Quality - Health and Safety inc COSHH - Environmental - Employment law
    • Other appropriate manuals, policies, processes and procedures and business strategy
General Responsibilities -
  • Good administration
  • Communication policy compliance
  • Regular performance progress reporting (monthly) against Job Description.
