Kingdom receives certification following successful ISO audits

ISO 9001-ISO 14001-ISO 27001-OHSAS 18001 H UKAS COMBINED (002)Kingdom is pleased to announce that we have had all our ISO audits carried out for 2018 and have successfully met all the requirements of those audits without conceding any non-conformities.

The successfully completed audits are for the following ISO standards which we are delighted to have received certification for from the independent management systems certification provider SOCOTEC:

  • ISO 9001:2015
  • ISO 14001:2015
  • ISO 27001:2013
  • OHSAS 18001:2007

This is a renewal of our certification for ISO 27001:2013 and OHSAS 18001:2007, but it is the first time that Kingdom has completed audits for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 as we have been transitioning to these standards this year, at the same time as changing our management systems certification provider from BM Trada to SOCOTEC. We are very pleased to have successfully made the transition without any issue.

The certification covers the provision of security services, including security personnel, reception, site managed commercial cleaning and maintenance, environmental protection, mobile patrols, key holding and alarm response, and integrated services including investigation and surveillance.

As part of the audit, Kingdom’s National Support Centre at Newton-le-Willows was visited, along with a number of Kingdom’s client sites. The audits were carried out in February, April and May 2018.

ISO 9001:2015 specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organisation needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system.

ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organisation can use to enhance its environmental performance. It is intended for use by an organisation that aims to manage its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to sustainability.

ISO 27001:2013 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organisation. It therefore helps organisations to keep information such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or third party information secure. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organization.

OHSAS 18001 sets out the minimum requirements for occupational health and safety management best practice, helping organisations to put in place the policies, procedures and controls needed to achieve the best possible working conditions and workplace health and safety. It shows that an organisation views their employees’ health and safety as a priority.

Certification in these four standards is a key part of Kingdom’s “commitment to quality” (C2Q) which we remain steadfast in by embracing five key components: Safety, Health, Environment, Service and Outcomes. As a supplier to brand focused customers, our investment and dedication to quality and safety is taken extremely seriously. We regularly access experts in their field to openly audit and challenge us, and when we do it well, recognition follows.

With the ISO audits out of the way, Kingdom will now focus on the upcoming ACS audit in September, followed by the migration to BS ISO 45001:2018, the new British and international standard for occupational health and safety management systems.
