Kingdom one of “1000 companies to inspire Britain” for the second year

Europe2018Homepage_bannerKingdom is delighted to be able to announce that we have been included in the fifth edition of the London Stock Exchange Group’s annual list of “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain”. This is the second year in a row that Kingdom has been included in the publication, and we could not be more excited about it!

Sponsored by Business Growth Fund, Cenkos, British Business Bank and The Telegraph, 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain is an annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK, and we are very pleased that Kingdom has been included in this definition for two consecutive years now.

The report identifies the 1000 companies by ten key sectors, and also examines in detail the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs, looking at the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the UK economy. The annual average revenue growth rate across the 1000 named companies from 2013 to 2017 is a phenomenal 71% a year.

Writing the forward to the report, Nikhil Rathi, CEO of the London Stock Exchange, said: “Policymakers of all political persuasions are clear: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the heartbeat of our economy, driving jobs and growth. Their dynamism plays a huge part in the UK’s ability to innovate and export, and, in doing so, creates high-quality jobs for the next generation, while addressing stubborn structural economic issues, such as low productivity. At London Stock Exchange Group, we agree and are proud to publish the fifth annual edition of our ground-breaking report: 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, which identifies the United Kingdom’s fastest-growing SMEs and high-growth companies across multiple sectors and regions.”

The report also included commentary by the UK Prime Minister Theresa May, the Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, and the Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Jonathan Reynolds.

The Prime Minister’s commentary stated that: “Businesses do not just provide jobs and boost the economy, valuable though both those roles are. They make daily life possible, providing us with a standard of living few could have dreamed of less than a century ago. To me, that is why all businesses, especially smaller ones, are inspiring; taking the spark of an innovative idea and shaping it into a life-changing reality. And the 1,000 small and medium-sized businesses listed here are among the very best ... from dynamic start-ups to established family firms, SMEs are the backbone of our country.”

Kingdom was one of just 91 companies from the North West of the UK to be included in the report. To find out more about the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2018 report, please visit http://www.lseg.com/resources/1000-companies-inspire
