clip_image002[5]Kingdom was pleased to support our client, the University of South Wales, by donating prizes for their recent Wellbeing Day which was held on Thursday 19th April to promote healthy work and lifestyles.

The event took place from 10am until 3.30pm and included a number of presentations, including an Opening Address from the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Society and talks on Managing Stress and Anxiety, and on Mental Health and Stigma. There were also opportunities for blood pressure and cholesterol checks, BMI, Height/Weight, peak flow and body weight analysis, and 10-minute Mindfulness taster sessions. Various health and wellbeing organisations also had information stands at the event.

Kingdom has been providing security services to the University of South Wales since February 2017. Our role includes providing security guarding, car park management, operating the control room and student protection.

The University of South Wales was formed on 11th April 2013 when the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport merged. As of 2017 it was in the top five percent of universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. It is the second largest university in Wales in terms of student numbers and offers around 200 courses. It has four main faculties across its three main campuses in South East Wales – in Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd. The Pontypridd campus is the largest one and consists of three parts – Treforest, Glyntaff and Tyn y Wern. Kingdom provides security services to all of these locations. A new campus will be opening in Dubai in September 2018.
