Kingdom’s Eddie Hirst represents GB in Triathlon

FullSizeRenderWe’re delighted to report that Kingdom’s Strategic Sales Director, Eddie Hirst, was very successful when he recently represented Great Britain as an Age Group athlete at the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Multisport World Championships 2017, in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada.

The World Championships took place between the 18th and 27th August and attracted over 4,000 athletes from all over the globe.

Eddie competed in the Age Group Sprint Distance Duathlon event, which consisted of a 5km run, 20km bike ride, and then a further 2.5km run.

We are pleased to report that he came 15th out of 31 in his gender and age category, completing his first run in 20 minutes 7 seconds, his bike ride in 35 minutes and 34 seconds, and his second run in 10 minutes and 14 seconds, so completing the entire event in 1 hour, 8 minutes and 50 seconds.

Overall, Eddie finished 120 out of 412 in his gender, and 121 out of 681 overall. Congratulations Eddie!

Eddie was supported by Kingdom and had the Kingdom logo displayed on his kit. He joined Kingdom earlier this year as Strategic Sales Director and has over 17 years experience of working within the security, facilities management and outsourcing industries. He is married with two young daughters, has an MSc (Distinction) degree in Security Risk Management, and is an Ambassador for Bike for Boobs, an organisation that helps people going through cancer.
