Kingdom colleague raising money for Syrian orphans

Kingdom is pleased to be supporting one of their Finance Dept Administrators, Abdul Wahhab, who is taking part in a trekking challenge to Mount Snowdon on Saturday 18th March 2017 in order to raise money for Syrian orphans.

Abdul will be climbing to a height of 3,199ft in support of 25 Syrian orphans, and will be doing this as part of the “Climb for Syria – Snowdon Trek” which is being organised by the Muslim Youth Network. The fundraising event is in partnership with Human Aid UK, an international humanitarian charity which strives to alleviate the suffering of the oppressed.

Explaining why they are raising funds on their website, the Muslim Youth Network says:

“It is one of the most difficult things in the world to witness a child in pain. By losing a parent, these vulnerable children instantly lose their childhood. Orphans are forced to become older beyond their years, to work as opposed to play freely, to assume responsibilities as opposed to pursue their ambitions.

"But with the right tools, a secure home and an advanced education, our Orphans can be given the chance to excel in their lives. When you give a child an education, you give them the keys to life itself.”

If you would like to sponsor Abdul you can do so by going to his fundraising site http://myn.everydayhero.com/uk/abdul#, where any donation big or small would be hugely appreciated by both Abdul and the orphans.
