Kingdom is to start a 12 month trial in April 2017 providing Environmental Protection services on behalf of East Hertfordshire District Council.
East Herts Council covers most of the eastern third of Hertfordshire, and is based in Bishop’s Stortford, the largest settlement in the district. The district also covers the county town of Hertford.
Kingdom will be issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to anyone caught dropping litter (which includes chewing gum and cigarette ends) or failing to clean up after their dog in a public place.
Kingdom aims to make our communities cleaner, safer and greener. The annual cost of cleaning the UK’s streets has been estimated at £1billion, with around 14 million incidents of anti-social behaviour reported every year. This equates to 26 incidents per minute.
Kingdom’s Environmental Protection Division is led by experts with an ex-police and military background. The specialist teams deliver over 270,000 Environmental Protection hours per annum on behalf of local authorities across the United Kingdom.
