Colleagues were encouraged to come to work in their “craziest, funkiest Christmas jumper” and donate £2 by texting the charity directly. This was a national campaign, with people across the UK encouraged to take part with friends, family, colleagues or schools. At the time of writing, the Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day campaign has raised nearly £2 million.
Save the Children run world-class programmes to save children’s lives and challenge world leaders to keep their promises to give children a brighter future. Their aim is to help create a world where every child has the right to survival, protection, development and participation. In 2015 they helped 17.5 million children, and work in more than 120 countries around the world, including the UK.
