Kingdom arranges counter terrorism training for client

clip_image002The West Midlands Counter Terror Police unit recently delivered a free counter terror awareness one day course to employees of one of Kingdom’s clients, CEVA Logistics, and to Kingdom’s security officers.

The event was organised by Kingdom’s Business Manager Alex Collins and was held at CEVA’s facilities in Dordon, Tamworth, on the 25th July 2016.

It was a very informative course that benefited both Kingdom’s and CEVA’s teams. 17 people attended from both Kingdom and CEVA. The course was suitable for all staff and especially those involved in security.

The presentation contained all of the required component parts of a Project Griffin event.

Project Griffin is the national counter terrorism awareness initiative for businesses to protect cities and communities from the threat of terrorism. It aims to encourage and enable members of the community to work in partnership with the police to deter and detect terrorist activity and crime. It seeks to enlist the help and support of individuals and groups interested in maintaining the safety and security of buildings, business areas or neighbourhoods. They hold briefing events to increase public and staff awareness of how best to reduce and respond to the most likely types of terrorist activities, and on how to protect yourself, your staff, your business and your community. Project Griffin currently covers the following topics:

  • Current Threat
  • Firearms & Weapons Attacks
  • Hostile Reconnaissance
  • Document Awareness
  • Methods of Attack
  • Drones
  • Bombs
  • Responses to Suspicious Items
  • Social Networking
  • Cyber
  • Postal Threat
  • Insider Threat
  • Domestic Extremism
