Kingdom sponsoring client’s marathon fundraising endeavour

clip_image002Kingdom is pleased to be sponsoring the fundraising efforts of a team of employees from one of their clients – UK Mail. The intrepid team of six will be running the London Marathon on 24th April 2016.

Kingdom provides cleaning services to UK Mail on a national basis. Kingdom has serviced numerous UK Mail sites across the UK in recent years including Aberdeen, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Carlisle, Exeter, Leeds, Leicester, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Oxford and Preston.

UK Mail is the UK’s largest independent postal operator. They offer parcel and mail delivery solutions both locally and worldwide, and have a national network of more than 50 sites and 2400 vehicles. They are able to offer business customers a unique integrated service with a full range of time-sensitive and secure delivery options for parcels and letters – all of which can be tailored specifically to meet a business’s needs. The team taking part in the London Marathon consists of Robert Constable, Tammy Harney, Mick Philpotts, Paul Curtis, Gemma Mills and Diana Boateng. They are hoping to raise over £11,000 for the charity Age UK, and are looking for help and support to help them achieve this mammoth total. So far they have raised over £6,000, which is just over half of their target.

Age UK is the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. The over-60s is the fastest-growing group in society and there are more of them than ever before. Age UK knows that ageing is not an illness, but that it can be challenging. They therefore provide services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people. They stand up and speak for all those who have reached later life, and also protect the long-term interests of future generations.

If you would also like to donate to the team’s fundraising efforts you can go so easily by visiting their JustGiving page where you can sponsor any of the running team. The address is https://www.justgiving.com/companyteams/UKMailMarathonTeam. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send you money directly to the charity. They’ll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer too. That means more money goes to the charity faster with JustGiving.

The team have said: “Any donation would be greatly received, no amount too large or too small! We are all very excited albeit nervous about the event and have all been training hard to complete this huge challenge! Many thanks for your support for this great cause.”
