Kingdom creates bespoke e-Learning training tool for client

IMG_0317Kingdom is very pleased with the positive response they have received to a bespoke version of their e-Learning training tool that they have created for one of their clients.

Kingdom provides security personnel to Hanson UK at their Padeswood Works in Mold, Flintshire. For the first time ever, Kingdom has created, written and designed a completely bespoke version of their e-Learning training platform, KingdomShield, for this client.

KingdomShield is Kingdom’s own interactive workplace training software which usually includes health & safety, fire prevention and first aid. These training modules are available for Kingdom’s customers to use free for their own staff. The bespoke version of the tool which Kingdom created includes only Hanson UK specific information and questions.

Kingdom has placed five iPads on site for visitors and contractors who need training and induction. Normally the client has between 20 and 25 visitors and contractors attending the site for inductions per week, but there were 350 visitors in January.

IMG_0318Kingdom’s client is delighted with this new tool as it is quicker, more efficient and more environmentally friendly. Previously, the client had to complete paperwork for each person undertaking the training, but this tool now saves having to print anything off, and means that the training can be completed immediately. Kingdom’s personnel are also delighted with the new tool for the same reasons. Following this success, Kingdom can now provide bespoke versions of the KingdomShield tool for other clients too if they require it or would benefit from it.

As well as providing services to Hanson UK’s Padeswood Works, Kingdom also provides security at their Ribblesdale Works in Clitheroe in Lancashire, at their Purfleet Works in West Thurrock in Essex, and at their central regional office in Shepshed near Loughborough. Hanson UK produces aggregates (crushed rock, sand and gravel), ready-mixed concrete, asphalt, cement and cement related materials. They are part of the HeidelbergCement Group, which has leading global positions in aggregates, cement and concrete. Hanson UK is split into four business lines – aggregates, concrete, asphalt and contracting and cement – which together operate around 300 manufacturing sites and employ over 3,000 people.
