Kingdom is pleased to introduce Brian Nuttall, who started working with the company in November 2015 as their new Compliance Partner. Brian is providing support to Kingdom in all areas of compliance, with his key focus at the moment being to develop compliance framework software to manage health and safety, quality, environmental and information systems.
Brian has been a private consultant for the past 17 years working in various industries, but predominantly security. His field of expertise is compliance, and he has a strong belief that this can bring opportunities to businesses. He has implemented integrated management systems, assessed and developed customers’ management systems for quality, health and safety and environmental, developed technical manuals and audited and reviewed customers’ processes and procedures.
Brian serves as a member of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Small Business Network management team. He previously served as an Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) qualified assessor for seven years, conducting over 400 assessments across the UK and Ireland. ACS is the Security Industry Authority’s (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme. The SIA is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry and the Approved Contractor Scheme was established by the SIA to form a set of operational and performance standards for security companies. To be accredited under the scheme, security companies must voluntarily submit themselves for annual inspection by one of five UKAS inspection bodies appointed by the SIA to carry out the task. They are then assessed and given a score. Brian served as one of these Assessors. Kingdom is an SIA Approved Contractor and passed their most recent ACS audit with a record score of 161. The maximum overall score that can be achieved is currently 174, so Kingdom’s score of 161 places them in an elite group of the top 5% of ACS security companies in the United Kingdom.
Brian also currently has a contract with BSI, which is the largest certification body in the world. The business standards company helps organisations all over the work “make excellence a habit ... showing businesses how to improve performance, reduce risk and achieve sustainable growth.” As well as this, Brian is an Associate of the University of Salford where he is currently working on a project named ProtectED helping to develop a code of practice for universities and higher educational establishments for the security and wellbeing of students. This project is backed by a number of bodies, including the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and the British Council.
Brian lives with his partner Vicki in Cheadle Hulme in Cheshire. He has two daughters that he describes as wonderful, Charlotte and Eliza, with Eliza being just 17 months old. He admits that little Eliza takes up most of his time outside of work, so he doesn’t have much time currently for pursuing other interests, but he does enjoy “chilling out” in a caravan in North Wales most weekends when he isn’t working. However, he does still manage to make time for his “beloved” Manchester United, and as he was born in Old Trafford considers them to be his local club. He also enjoys playing cricket and golf when he gets the chance.
Welcome to Kingdom Brian!
