Kingdom was proud to act as a major sponsor for the Embrace Child Victims of Crime (Embrace CVOC) City of London Dinner on Thursday 15th October.
This was their 13th annual gala dinner, dance and auction, and was held during National CVOC Awareness Month 2015. The event is Embrace CVOC’s most spectacular fundraiser, with the proceeds helping many child victims of crime each year.
The fabulous dinner event took place at The Brewery venue in Chiswell Street, in the heart of the City of London. There was a drinks reception at 6.30pm, followed by an exquisite three course meal with wine, coffee and petit fours. The event included a magnificent auction with an array of money-can't-buy items, a race event hosted by Ladbrokes, and dancing in to the early hours with a top live band.
Kingdom’s team leaders from IKEA Wembley, Tottenham and 80 The Strand attended the evening, along with guests of the Kingdom Executive Board, which included representatives from Kingdom’s clients Network Housing, IKEA and Drax.
Over 800,000 young people between the ages of 10 and 15 are victims of crime each year – over half of them are the victims of violent crime. Embrace CVOC is the only UK-wide charity which works exclusively to provide practical, emotional and specialist support for children and young people after serious crime. They welcome referrals from police officers, sexual abuse referral centres and safeguarding professionals. During 2014 they supported over 1,160 children and young people who had suffered the effects of serious crime.
